The exceptional artistry of the married American-French duo-pianists ARIANNA GOLDINA and REMY LOUMBROZO has brought them consistent and enthusiastic praise from audiences and critics alike, as well as international recognition as one of today’s leading duo-piano teams.
Goldina & Loumbrozo have been heard as both recital and orchestral soloists at music centers and music festivals throughout the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, the Baltic States, Russia and Scandinavia. American orchestral appearances have included the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, The New World Symphony, Orange County’s Pacific Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony of the Americas.
Goldina & Loumbrozo captured public attention by winning First Prize of two major international duo-piano competitions: the 7th Valentino Bucchi Competition of 20th Century Music (Rome) and, in 1989, the second Dranoff International Two Piano Competition (Miami). Subsequently, their debut recording of an all-Liszt program was released on the Pianissime label, followed by an all-French album on the Phoenix label. In 1998, their collaboration with the Academy Award/Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Corigliano and Pulitzer Prize winner Ned Rorem resulted in a highly acclaimed CD, featuring three world premiere recordings. The duo’s latest release, also on Phoenix, is an all-Copland album that includes the world-premiere recording of the composer’s unpublished, one-piano/four-hands version of Music for the Theater.
Born far apart in Latvia and France, Arianna Goldina and Remy Loumbrozo met at The Juilliard School in New York City, from which they both hold Master of Music degrees. Ms. Goldina received her Ph.D. in piano performance from New York University, and, in 1997, Mr. Loumbrozo was named Chevalier in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. Highly dedicated teachers and mentors, Ms. Goldina serves on the faculty of Moravian College, while Mr. Loumbrozo serves on the faculty of the Lycée Français de New York.
